Assistant County Attorney
at York County, Virginia
Performs professional work advising the Department of Social Services and various other County boards, agencies and offices, as assigned by the County Attorney on legal matters and representing the County in court when necessary. Acts as general legal counsel to assigned clients to advise them on issues with legal implication; and represents such clients' interests in court, as necessary. Responsible for supervising and reviewing the work of the departmental clerical staff.
- Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of law, preferably with 3 to 5 years of experience in the practice of law; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be an active member in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia with satisfactory driving record.
Experience with local government preferred.
