This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works program. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer's most difficult challenges. Some of our unclassified projects include the U-2, SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-35 Lightening II.

Selected applicant will join a unique “Skunkworks” Advanced Development Program (ADP) team, and become qualified as a pilot (IP) and subject matter expert (SME) on both manned and Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA). Applicants must have commercial pilot skills and experience to include operations in restricted airspace including MOA's, as well as operating in all classes of FAA controlled airspace. A commercial pilot certificate with instrument privileges and or an ATP rating and single and multi-engine ratings are required. Applicant must have a minimum of nine years’ experience and have attained a minimum of 1500 flight hours in Turbo- Jet and/or turbo-prop aircraft. World-wide, day/night, instrument conditions operational experience is desired. Experience with employment/deployment of complex weapon systems, payloads and sensor packages is highly desired. Selected applicant must meet minimum medical requirements, which includes a company overseas physical and a current FAA second class physical.

Candidates must be willing to train for, travel to, and work in austere remote locations. Must be willing to work extended shifts including holidays and weekends. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations that may include anthrax and smallpox.

The applicant selected will be subjected to Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. This position will require an active Top Secret security clearance with an SBI completed within the past 5 years. The candidate must agree to and successfully pass a polygraph examination and Customer medical evaluation. Test Pilot School not required.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.”

Basic Qualifications
--Active Top Secret with Background Investigation within the last five years
--Commercial Pilot certificate with instrument privileges or ATP Rating
--Single-Engine Rating
--Minimum of 1500 flight hours in Turbo Jet or Turbo – prop aircraft
--Must have current FAA class 1 or 2 physical
--Must pass medical and mental health screening

Desired skills
