Position Overview
Freddie Mac’s Single Family Division is currently seeking a Risk Analytics Manager to implement tools and methods of risk evaluation as a member of the Credit Analytics and Reporting team.

Your work falls into two primary categories:


Business/System Requirements
  • As a Collateral Risk Analytics Manger gather business and system requirements for data movement and controls, develop and document mappings and rules
  • Review system requirements/ spec to ensure business requirements documents are captured accurately
  • Manage SIT/User Acceptance testing activities including development of test cases, test scripts and performing SIT/user acceptance testing for data application projects
  • Manages collateral risk data management activities focusing on requirements gathering and testing implementation of data processes on big data platform
  • Gather and document Business Operational Readiness Review document
  • Facilitate requirements meetings and influence decisions including analysis of project-related documentation to aid the evaluation of inherent risks in collateral evaluation
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current data management trends
  • Have experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets including using statistical software
  • Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable

  • Collaborate with team members and interact across organizational lines to meet business objectives
  • Interact, collaborate and support other SIT/UAT testing teams
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Analyze large datasets (Structured and Unstructured data – XMLs, JSONs, PDFs) using big data platform.
  • Would be required to engage using Python, PySpark, PIG, HIVE scripts to filter/map/aggregate data.
  • Capture requirements for R&D and exploratory analysis to understand requirements and data.
Team management and leadership
  • Receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals
  • Manage and develop a small team of analysts and data scientists 
  • Act as an advisor to subordinates, provide guidance within the latitude of established company policies

Qualifications
  • Typically 10-12 years of experience in data analysis combined with strong business and technical skills  
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Information Management, Computer Science or related field or study
  • 12+ years of excellent SQL/SAS and Unix programming experience
  • 4+ years of experience working with JSON, XML and CSV files
  • 4+ years of data mart/database/ETL experience
  • Worked in the business area or closely/directly with business area to gather business requirements/rules logic and develop code.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and excellent organization skills
  • Experience working with Version One or JIRA or similar tool
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with database, data model and data warehouse concepts
  • Working knowledge of Loan Prospector, Loan Quality, and Loan Advisor or similar applications
  • Loan Manufacturing process knowledge
  • Logical thinker performing data analysis
  • Solid understanding of business & systems needs and detail requirements
