ARINC located in Norfolk, VA is looking for a Web Services Developer to support our Defense Systems Engineering (Advanced Concepts Engineering) division. This position will build a web services interface to support data accessibility and reporting for the US Navy Tactical Switch (TSw) Enterprise Network Management Systems (ENMS) program, making data available to external organizations. This position will be responsible for developing web services, writing Web Service Definition Language (WSDLs), creating schema definition, and developing WS* compliant services. A measure of data architecture skills are also desired in order to analyze and stage the data into separate environments for exposure.

Responsibilities include: planning, installation, software installation and configuration, web service development, maintenance and production monitoring of web services that expose critical data. Qualifications Required Experience:

* 7+ years of Web Services experience is required.

* Operational experience with XML and SOAP web-based and RESTful service interfaces.

* Working knowledge of frameworks and application servers is required.

* Effectively communicate with all levels of business.

* Proven analytical and problem solving abilities are required.

* Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information.

Desired Experience:

* JAVA development experience and experience with the JBoss Application Server is desired.

* Understanding of software development life cycle, including analysis, design, programming and unit testing for information worker applications based on J2EE and SOA technologies is desired.

* Familiarity withJBoss Enterprise Web Server (EWS), and Red Hat MRG at the platform service level is a plus.

* Hands on experience with designing and implementing SOA/Solution Architect based solutions are also a plus.

* Experience producing end-user and technical documentation is a plus.

Education Requirements: Hands on experience with IT/IS implementation projects can be substituted for a BS or MS Degree in a technical area. IAT/IAM Level I or II is required. SOA certifications are desired.
