Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Procurement.

Our job is to bring procurement resources, tools, methodologies and judgment to business units to "get the right deal with the right supplier". This involves leading major sourcing and contracting initiatives in an effort to ensure that Capital One captures appropriate value for the company and meets acceptable corporate risk-profiles. We also manage transaction-related communications, negotiations, and contract development with third party suppliers in conjunction with and on the behalf of internal customers and the Capital One Legal Department. In addition, we work closely with other parts of the company that manage on-going supplier relationships, supplier reporting, supplier performance management, customer demand management, category strategy, and internal policy development.

Procurement Senior Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

The person filling this role will be expected to manage the procurement needs for their assigned commodity group. This role will be the dedicated single point of contact for all supplier transactions and procurement needs and will have overall accountability for Global Procurement Services' support of this category. This role is responsible for ensuring that Global Procurement Services' policies are adhered to and for ensuring that appropriate documentation exists for all of their transactions.

This individual is expected to develop (and provide oversight to others who will develop) sourcing strategies, supplier communications, request for proposals (and related due diligence), cost analytics, category strategies, supply market analysis, deal strategy, pricing strategy, deal negotiations (contract terms and conditions, scopes of work, pricing, service levels, etc.), contract development, and contract administration. They are also expected to act as a central point of contact for a transaction and is responsible for engaging all the internal parties relevant to a given supplier transaction.

This individual will have senior customers throughout the organization, so excellent influencing and communication skills are a must. They will also have a team of associates reporting to them and will be accountable for effectively managing, mentoring and developing a team of world-class Sourcing and Contracting associates. At Capital One, Procurement Managers are expected to work in a collaborative environment with internal customers internal as well with other groups within company.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 5 years of experience in a Sourcing, Contracting or Supplier Management role
- 1 year experience in project management
- 3 years experience in leading and managing teams

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 Years of procurement experience with a Fortune 500 company
- 7 years of experience in a Sourcing, Contracting or Supplier Management role
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to structure and comprehend numerical analysis and optimization strategies
- Excellent communications skills
- Proven negotiation skills
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Experience in people management, strategy development, process design, project delivery, or sourcing in diverse industries.
- MBA, consulting experience or relevant change management experience.
- Experience in outsourcing and/or implementation of large projects that required a diverse team of associates.
- Experience leading business and legal negotiations of complex sourcing and outsourcing deals in excess of $20 MM in annualized spend.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in an autonomous environment; ability to generate and pursue ideas; complex project management skills; written and verbal communications;
- CPSM Certification
