  • We are seeking an experienced project manager to fill a need for a Senior Consultant position in our Falls Church, VA office. The position is available in The Lewin Group Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research.


    The Senior Consultant will improve policy and expanded knowledge of health care and human service systems in comparative effectiveness research (CER) and related areas, including in evidence-based medicine, and health technology assessment. Within the Consulting job family, this function provides billable strategic and analytical consulting services to external customers, including the federal government, agencies and associations, payers and providers and assists in growing the business through business development and solid account management resulting in revenue generation.

    Skills / Requirements


    We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Master's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant experience in public health, public policy, healthcare management, business, or other related area of concentration

  • Experience and interest in CER and related areas

  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and strict timelines

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience in managing and developing client relationships

  • Ability to manage large matrix teams and align responsibilities.

  • Ability to develop new business through the contribution of substantive expertise and technical advice.



  • Specific project management tasks may include:

  • Managing and conducting comprehensive literature reviews using PubMed/Medline and other electronic databases and analyzing findings to evaluate the evidence regarding various health policy topics and health technologies

  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data and findings into concise, readily usable reports

  • Designing and implementing evaluation and assessment projects (e.g., survey development, conducting stakeholder interviews, focus groups or site visits)

  • Managing projects requiring quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis

  • Managing conference and expert panel meeting planning and coordination

  • Preparing and participating in team and client project meetings

  • CER compares the safety, effectiveness, cost and other clinical and economic outcomes of health care interventions used to prevent, diagnose or treat diseases, disorders and other health conditions. CER findings can be used to support decisions and policies of clinicians, patients, regulatory agencies, third-party payers, health care facilities, public health programs, federal and state policy makers and others. The Lewin Group Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research will provide analysis of data and policy, and related consulting to support the identification and implementation of CER priorities and advance the field of CER.
