ARCADIS is seeking a Technology Consultant within the Red Oak Consulting division in Newport News VA. The person will work on a variety of IT consulting engagements for our clients. Examples of the types of projects we have done internationally include IT master planning, performance assessments of utilities, and a wide array of enterprise-wide software selection and implementation. We expect the person hired to perform similar consulting work but may get involved in other strategic technology services consulting and implementation projects. A comprehensive understanding of best practices applicable to asset management, billing systems and/or compliance management systems is a plus.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Four more years of progressively responsible experience with the majority of experience in enterprise technology solutions services within municipal government clients.
- Demonstrated project management experience including contract, subcontractor and vendor relationship, resource, budget, scope and schedule development, monitoring, and control responsibilities.
- Previous management consulting delivery experience with an environmental engineering firm a plus.
- Working knowledge of one or more major information systems commonly used at utilities is desired including geographical information systems, work and maintenance management systems, financial management systems, customer information and billing systems, capital project management systems, laboratory information management systems, mobile workforce management systems, enterprise application integration systems, or business intelligence systems.
- Familiarity with formal project management and delivery tools, methodologies, and processes a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation.
- Flexibility to move from project to project with different focuses required.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the U.S.
