Principal QA Associate

Job Purpose:

Manage the Quality Assurance functions within the Problem Loans and Resolutions team, validating the forensic underwriting on the sold loan portfolios of Greenpoint Mortgage, COHL, CONA and CCB as well as any newly originated and sold loans.

Key Responsibilities

- Reviews files and contracts post facto for learnings, Leverages a creative approach to the assessment of loan files and provides feedback to RUs

- Follows up on critical corrections

- Develops and implements controls

- Identifies and establishes learning best practices and partners with trainer to ensure communication

- Manages and enhances the QA process overall and molds QA process to changes in overarching department policies and procedures

- Ensures compliance to standards and regulations

- Reports on quality to appropriate stakeholders

- Identifies and reports on critical and non critical issues

- Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree

- 5 years experience with Mortgage originations / credit policy and underwriting

- 2 years experience in Quality Assurance /Quality Control review

Preferred Qualifications:

- Process Management BPM certification

- Proficient in Excel
