We are proud to partner with Capital One, and are currently seeking a PRN Medical Assistant (MA) to join our our Health & Wellness Center in Richmond, VA

Position Summary:

* Perform medical front administrative office duties (answering phone, scheduling, data entry, filing, order supplies)
* Assist NP and RN as needed with back office medical and nursing routines
* Conduct patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: checking schedules and organizing patient flow; collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc;
* Collecting patient history
* Performing screenings per provider guidelines
* Assisting nurse practitioner/physician/nurses with various procedures; charting; relaying instructions to patients
* Answering calls and providing pertinent information
* Fulfill environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include: setting up equipment according to department protocols
* Cleaning exam/procedure rooms, and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms.
* Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

* 2 years experience in medical office preferred
* Diploma in medical assisting required
* National certification preferred
* Current BLS required
