Description
Capital One is seeking a Market Research Manager to join the US Card Brand Marketing organization. In this exciting role you will focus on identifying insights that drive the company's consumer acquisition marketing strategies. You will consult with a cross-functional group of clients, peers, and leaders to develop and implement comprehensive research agendas. The research insights that you deliver will inform our strategies and tactics for marketing a diverse set of credit card products through integrated marketing campaigns. The output of your work will have a meaningful impact on how a variety of target consumers view the Capital One brand and products in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and interpret business issues, identify knowledge gaps, and develop comprehensive learning agendas for internal client teams.
- Consult with business partners to clarify and articulate learning objectives.
- Effectively partner with peers, managers and leaders to leverage best practices in marketing research and strategy development.
- Leverage a network of suppliers to lead qualitative and quantitative market research projects representing a broad range in size/scope (e.g. communication strategy, usability, creative refinement, consumer needs understanding, product messaging hierarchy, etc.).
- Develop and present high impact insights that drive strategy and decision making, including leveraging and integrating primary research, multiple studies, secondary sources, and competitive intelligence.
- Lead internal and vendor teams in executing large scale research projects
- Manage multiple in-process research studies simultaneously
- Coach and mentor junior researchers
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years experience in marketing research on either the supplier side or the client side.
- 2+ years experience in planning, execution, and analysis of marketing research
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in marketing, economics, statistics, business, computer science/engineering, sociology, psychology, or biology.
- Advanced degree, such as an MBA or an MS in statistics, economics, marketing research, consumer psychology, or related field
- Experience with a variety of research methods used to develop and evaluate marketing communications
