Manager, Process Management
This person will focus on ensuring a comprehensive, complete and timely risk identification and scenario analysis process. This is required to ensure Basel II expectations are met and that the scenario process is linked with the management of risk across the company while supporting the quantification needs of the Operational Risk Economic Capital process. Additionally, this person will be providing evidence that Capital One is aware of all material risks across the company and ensure they are being appropriately managed.
Accountabilities of this role include the following: ensuring the risk identification processes throughout the Company adequately feed into the structured scenario process, manage the structured scenario process in support of the Operational Risk Economic Capital needs as well as operational risk management needs, drive improvements in the scenario analysis process to support requirements under Basel II, ensuring it is linked with a business line's ongoing risk management practices. This will require working with many stakeholders across every line of business to educate them on the new requirements, collaborate in building the improvements and ongoing process and then manage the ongoing execution of the new process.
Responsibilities:
- Building of process from the ground up
- Direct management of the process and its performance to goals.
- Educating, collaborating and influencing business line stakeholders
- Managing relationships across a broad set of stakeholders
- Planning process redesign efforts, including evaluating solutions, resource impacts, etc
- Maintaining accurate process documentation; creating reports and presentations as needed
- Ensuring compliance with Basel II requirements regarding scenario analysis, including quantitative soundness of the process
- Coordinate with OREC modeling team to ensure scenario data is sufficient for modeling needs and the process is conducted in order to meet external timelines
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a quantitative/analytical discipline
- Minimum 5 Years of Operational Risk experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Process Engineering - process redesign, business process engineering, Agile, lean management
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Relationship Management - Influencing and communicating at all levels
- Business Process Management, Lean Certification, Project Management Certification, Six Sigma Certification
- Minimum 1 year of direct experience in an RCSA process or similar risk and control assessment process and/or experience in business continuity table top exercises, including planning and facilitating the exercise
