Description
Level: Manager

This individual contributor, reporting to the head of Community Development Investment (CDI), the CDI Investment Analyst / Manager will analyze, underwrite, and prepare approval recommendations for community development investments for Capital One, with a focus on investing in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). Assist in the management of client and vendor relationships. Prepare activity reports for senior management and handle other day-to-day administrative activities for CDI origination.

Qualifications
Required:

- Bachelors degree.

- 5 years experience underwriting community development / affordable housing investments and/or underwriting experience in commercial real estate or community development finance.

Preferred:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

- Underwriting experience with a leading syndicator or purchaser of low income housing tax credits.

- Experience in managing client relationships.

- Familiarity with Community Reinvestment Act and related examination process.

- Experience in working with legal counsel.

- Ability to analyze and structure investment transactions and present them for approval.

- Negotiation and closing skills.

- Ability to understand complex transaction documents

- Ability to work independently.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to travel occasionally.
