This position is a hands-on technical/section lead position that manages a diverse IT portfolio and Certification and Accreditation processes for a large USMC customer.  Supervises 1-3 IA/IT analysts/technicians who provide IA C&A and network security administration services. Provides proactive and relevant IA/IT expertise regarding  DoD, DoN and USMC IA requirements, including DITSCAP/DIACAP, to assist customers with determining recommended network architecture, system design, and facilities (current and planned) for IA compliance. Mentors and trains direct reports to develop skills to provide high-level customer service. Gathers customer requirements, creates project schedules and monitors adherence by key stakeholders and support staff. Provides regular status updates on projects within the IT portfolio. Meets with government staff (civilian and military) to determine future/strategic IA posture at all DoD levels and analyzes and applies requirements to local projects and portfolio management. Organizes staff meetings at the section level to communicate policy, procedures, and coordinate information sharing on projects between staff members. Provides status reports to and supports program inititiatives of Project and Program Managers on a regular basis.  Other assigned duties based on workload and business needs.   

Skills / Requirements

Masters Degree, IT or related field preferred, Bachelor's Degree IT or related field required.  Security + certification required, CISM/CISSP preferred.  MCITP equivalent or higher certification required. 12+ years experience performing similar work in within the USMC Enterprise Level Network Environment preferred, experience in a DOD military environment required. Significant experience assisting government customers with determining cost-effective, compliant IT solutions for networks and applications.  Additional IT experience or education may substitute for Master's Degree requirement. Strong analytical and IA gap analysis skills required.  Ability to work as part of a diverse team of IT professionals.  Ability to work effectively with clients, teams, and senior military and saff personnel.  Keen attention to detail required.  Ability to conduct briefings on data collected during network engineering lifecycle processes and communication IA requirements in system development meetings with IT and non-IT staff members. Ability to set work priorities according to customer requirements and organize staffing and other resources to effectively meet milestones and dealines.  Ability to communicate with a variety of people with varying levels of IA knowledge and experience. In-depth knowledge of functionality and experience using Xacta.


 


Required Clearance: Secret.  Interim Secret acceptable per contract, but Secret preferred.
