The Satellite Manager will provide satellite specific technical expertise tosupport the Cornerstone Program. The candidate must be able to interact with program and technical members ofthe Sales and Program Teams to develop strategic plans to influence customer and network design decisions. Thecandidate must have an understanding of transport networks (e.g. ATM, IP, Private line, Satellite, Line-of-site radio)and be able to comprehend upcoming network applications. Work complexity involves developing and supportingcustom offers for the Federal Government market involving standard/custom network services, customized enterprisemanagement solutions, special security services and solutions, and a variety of professional services support.Proposal support for satellite based opportunities will be one primary responsibility for this position. Responsibilitiesassociated with this position include: Responsible for Satellite engineering support of all satellite based programs. Responsible for coordinating various AT&T teams to satisfy issues/problems as they occur. Provide executive level reports as required on program issues, risks and financial status. Make technical presentations at sales meetings and customer forums. Support proposal initiatives to retain and grow business as each contract comes up for re-competition orpotential engineering change proposals are identified. Dissemination of technical knowledge as well as the training associated with design changes and new productlaunches. Assists other technical employees by providing expert advice, training, and technical guidance as necessary inareas listed above. Support capture team processes, pre and post-sale. Support development of teaming strategies.Office Location will be Oakton, VA, but the successful candidate will be required to travel to customer and deployedlocations 5-7 days a month on average.Required Skills, Experience, and Education: 6+ years experience in providing supervision/guidance of technical personnel. 6+ years with satellite systems, capacity management and network/systems deployment and planningexperience. 6+ years expertise in deploying complex satellite solutions as well as life-cycle management and reporting.Required Clearance: Must have a Top Secret Clearance.Desired: Must have relevant Bachelor's degree and 2 years management planning experience or 8 years totalexperience in aforementioned areas is acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
