Director:
Capital One is seeking an experienced candidate for a Director in Credit Risk Management's Corporate Credit Management (CCM) team responsible for portfolio-wide credit analysis and leading the company's stress testing program. Capital One has for years conducted stress testing for internal purposes to understand how our portfolios would perform under severe economic worsening and inform strategic decisions and other management choices. Over the past few years the need for stress testing has grown due to new requirements and legislation that has emerged following the Great Recession. We now routinely stress the portfolio according to regulatory requirements in order to demonstrate to our regulators the Company's earnings potential in different environments (scenarios) and the adequacy of our capital and liquidity levels.
Due to the growing set of internal and external demands for company-wide stress testing, CCM is building out a team to conduct this analysis and integrate the related efforts into an efficient and ongoing program. The position we are looking to fill involves leading the program management of stress testing on behalf of the company.
Role Description:
- Program management of the Corporate Stress Testing initiative and related efforts (incorporating Dodd Frank new rules/requirements, integrating with Basel, developing plans for the Fed's Living Will requirements, and others)
- Developing an ongoing, efficient process for conducting stress testing and integrating this process into other ongoing business-as-usual financial management activities
- Owning the communication strategy with Senior Management and key partners across CRM, Line Finance, Treasury, Balance Sheet Management and Corporate Strategy
- Designing an appropriate governance and documentation strategy that demonstrates Capital One's stress testing process and analysis is rigorous and well-controlled
- Working with the broader team to identify and catalyze ongoing enhancements to process and methodology
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years of experience in Project and/or Process Management
- Certified PMP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Project Management
- 5+ years of experience as a Project and/or Process Manager within financial services industry
- 10+ years overall experience as a Project and/or Process Manager
