  • We are currently looking for a Director of Contract for our Falls Church, VA office. The Director of Contracts will support the full scale of contracting and procurement activities. Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years experience applying the Federal Acquisition Regulation, FAR Cost Principles and Cost Accounting Standards to government contracts and procurements and the demonstrated ability to perform in a complex cross-functional environment.


    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full range of contracting and procurement activities including contract, subcontract, license, lease, NDA and teaming agreement negotiation, administration, modification and closeout

  • Manage and support proposal efforts from RFP release through award, including reviewing RFP documents for contract issues, preparing Business Proposals and reviewing proposal submittals to ensure compliance/responsiveness to RFP and task order requirements

  • Ensure compliance with contracting policies and procedures consistent with government regulations and company policies

  • Attend and participate in senior level meetings to support business strategies, pricing strategies, and identification of potential risk factors to the organization

  • Work directly with project managers and practice leaders to ensure contract deliverables are being met

  • Collaborate, coordinate and provide guidance to affiliates within parent organization

  • Supervise, develop and mentor contracts staff

  • Maintain standardized processes and procedures for proposal and contract files

  • Establish and maintain forward pricing and estimating systems

  • Perform risk analysis review for all contractural documents and recommend mitigating options

  • Dispute resolution

  • Audit support

  • Continuous improvement through ISO

    Skills / Requirements


    Qualifications:

  • 10 years directly related experience including 5 years supervisory management

  • BA/BS required and CPCM strongly preferred, NCMA membership a plus

  • Demonstrated expertise managing procurement activities from RFP to contract award

  • Strong knowledge/expertise of FAR, DFAR and CAS and all types of contract vehicles, including GSA, for civilian agencies (e.g., DHHS, DOL, DOE, etc.)

  • Experience managing contract compliance, schedule, cost performance and customer satisfaction
