Description
This exciting opportunity will help shape the evolution of Capital One's banking business! This role is part of the Branch Operations team, in particular leading the Horizontal Strategy Team.

The environment is fast-paced and strategic, with work that is critical not only to the operations within the branch network but also to our channels, segments and partners. The role requires a well-rounded leader who can develop analytical insights, apply creative problem-solving skills and provide thought leadership to influence and lead cross-functional teams. This individual should be comfortable with both financial and operational data, have a proven track-record for project support and delivery and bring an exceptional ability to interact and communicate with senior leadership to influence outcomes. This individual should also be comfortable guiding direct and indirect team members. Responsibilities:
- Act as an internal consultant to shape, guide and deliver key projects within Branch Operations
- Lead and evolve the Branch Operations Project Management Office and related functions.
- Establish the processes, standards, and methodologies for effective project delivery and change management
- Deliver projects within Branch Operations and / or on behalf of overall Branch Local Distribution, based on defined priorities to ensure timelines are met, and manage escalation as needed
- Provide thought leadership and analytical support to senior management and project stakeholders to identify project needs, lead problem solving efforts and influence a course of action based on recommendations
- Direct the strategic roadmap for the Branch Operations Analytics function.
- Streamline Branch Operations Analytical Infrastructure and establish a Branch Process Management framework
- Forge partnerships where appropriate to enable delivery of commitments
- Lead and manage a team operations analysts and project managers; coach and develop team members

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience in analysis (qualitative and quantitative)
- At least 5 years of experience in project delivery
- At least 3 years of experience in people management / leading teams

Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- At least 3 years of experience in strategic consulting
- At least 5 years of direct people management experience
- Analytical software proficiency: SAS, Teradata SQL, etc.
- Business Process Management Certification (CBPP), Lean/Six Sigma- Black Belt and/or PMP
- Financial Services or Banking experience
NOTE: Some travel will be required. Level of travel dependent on location.
