Sales representative for the UHC Key Accounts responsible for broker/consultant and direct sales to customers in the 100 to 5,000+ employee range. The principle focus is the sale of new fully insured business with indirect responsibility for the retention of existing accounts.
This individual is responsible for sales to federal agencies, with a specific focus on federal civilian agencies (e.g. FOH, CMS, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Social Security, etc.). Define and execute an annual Federal Civilian Agency market sales plan in order to meet annual business segment goals. Will leverage a large matrixed organization to achieve annual revenue goals. Will function in a direct sales role to achieve individual revenue goals.
50% travel expected
Skills / Requirements
- Expert knowledge of healthcare programs in the Federal market segment to include Civilian Agencies.
- Knowledge of Military Health and VA is a plus.
- Key contacts with agency executives, partners and consultants that can be leveraged to identify opportunities, specify innovative solutions and deliver winning proposals.
- Knowledge of healthcare clinical programs across the Federal market.
- Ability to build and leverage relationships both within the company and in the marketplace.
- 2-3 years min. successful sales experience in Federal Market segment to include Civilian Agencies.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Healthcare programs, buyers and key influencers.
- Persuasive communicator.
- Strong listening skills.
- Collaborative work style.
- The ability to identify new business opportunities, specify innovative solutions and submit winning proposals.
Sales insurance license must be maintained as required by state law.
