DIGITAL ARTIST / ANIMATOR

The successful candidate will work within a team of instructional designers, graphic designers, and programmers to create a broad range of multimedia courseware for Web-based training, as well as provide support for print publications.

Basic Qualifications: To qualify, candidate must possess a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 4 years direct experience in graphic design, design and development of 2D and 3D art and animation, computer-based training, e-learning, or another form of student-controlled learning. Position requires artistic creativity, experience in page layout, use of color, and general design principles to convey technical content in engaging learning products using a variety of learning modalities (auditory, visual, tactile). Candidate must be able to produce professional quality graphics and animations, read storyboards, and coordinate graphic design aspects of final products. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, HTML, CSS, Adobe Indesign and Microsoft Office applications experience is required. Advanced skills in Flash animation and action scripting, 2D and 3D graphic design, 2D and 3D animation are desired.

The ability to interact well with clients (internal and external) is desired, as the candidate will also work directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in creating original artwork, repurposing existing graphics, and recommending graphic design strategies to meet requirements. Excellent organizational, planning, and communications skills required. As a graphic artist, you will be expected to keep abreast of new software/technologies in your field. Experience with SCORM, learning management systems, video editing, programming, and technical writing would be a plus.
