Data Management Manager

Data Management Manager position with Capital One Services, LLC in Richmond, VA:

- Formulate and apply data modeling and optimization to develop and interpret information that assists in decision making and development of business solutions.
- Manage, motivate, and coach multiple cross functional teams of up to 40 individuals in IT and Operations, including both internal associates and external vendors.
- Directly manage a team of 10-20 associates and contractors.
- Perform system and application design, lead data architecture and design, manage data warehousing efforts, oversee offshore development, and act as subject matter expert for financial services data management practices, including Banking, Mortgage, and Internet Analytics.
- Utilize Ab Initio, Teradata, and data movement and storage techniques to perform data management, data modeling (including dimensional and 3NF), and database administration and management.
- Act as Technical Delivery Lead for multiple lines of business. Lead cross functional teams for data movement and development.
- Manage daily processes and ad-hoc problem resolution for existing data management solutions.

The position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related quantitative analytical field, and 3 years of IT experience. In lieu of the specified Master's degree and 3 years of IT experience, will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in one of the stated fields and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate IT experience. Stated experience must include: financial services data management; internet analytics; data movement and storage techniques; data warehousing; Teradata; and Ab Initio.

Must pass company's analytical assessment.

Qualifications
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related quantitative analytical field AND 3 years of IT experience

OR

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related quantitative analytical field AND 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate IT experience.
