Description
Commercial Card Spend Optimization Manager II
The Spend Optimization Manager will develop and maintain relationships Capital One Commercial Card clients within the assigned portfolio (100-200 clients of varying size).
The Spend Optimization Manager will partner closely with the Bank Treasury Management Sales Advisors to identify program growth opportunities within the portfolio and jointly develop the optimization strategy to be presented to each identified client. Ideally the associate in this role will spend 100% of their time working with clients to maximize their use of the Commercial Card program.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an escalation point for all VIP Commercial Card client service related issues.
- Periodically conduct reviews with identified company contacts to understand satisfaction level and ensure all service needs are being addressed periodically and address any servicing needs.
- Working closely with Treasury Management Sales Advisors, Manage retention in a competitive landscape and challenging economic environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with identified contacts at companies within the portfolio relationships with authorized signatories/program administrators of existing corporate card client base.
- Develop call plan and engagement strategy for entire base under management.
- Analyze client spend patterns to identify or uncover opportunities to increase customer's card utilization and spend.
- Coordinates with various Capital One departments and bank divisions in the servicing of routine transactions and in solving special client needs.
- Responsible for the proper training and servicing on all accounts in the assigned client portfolio.
- Train client on additional uses of Commercial Card program to include, maximize rebates and rewards, the use of Purchase Control, Commercial Card Connect, and Smart Data Online for advanced reporting needs.
- For newly implemented company programs,, ensure cards have been received and activated within the first month.
- Effectively provide feedback to leadership for process changes within the department when identified.
- Work with the Product Consulting and Management team to assist with creating the Commercial Card strategy and setting performance goals and objectives.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Commercial Card and bank products.
- Provides accurate and timely reporting as requested by leadership..
- Exhibits excellent ability to delegate day-to-day tasks as it relates to card account support and maintenance when appropriate.
- Some travel required to visit with existing and, if necessary, potential VIP clients.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- College degree is required.
- 3+ years of financial or banking experience is required.
- 2+ years Commercial Card account management or relationship management experience is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time-management skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and possibly under time pressure, to meet all performance objectives.
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Experiences with portfolio spend management and analyses with demonstrated results of increasing spend within a commercial card portfolio.
- Experience with reporting tools and applications that assist clients in program optimization
- Experience with client systems integration related to commercial card programs.
