POSITION SUMMARY

The direct purpose of this position is to assist residents in meeting personal hygiene needs. Assists residents to meet daily dressing needs and to meet nutritional needs during meals and other times as necessary. Assists residents to meet mobility and toileting needs. Performs vital signs and blood sugar testing. Reports abnormal findings and any concerns about the resident to the nurse in charge of the care of tha resident. Documents all pertinent information according to the guidelines of the unit/area.

Job Requirements

1. High School graduate or equivalent.

2. Current Certified Nursing Assistant license in the Commonwealth of Virginia

3. Current CPR certification.

4. Experience in long-term care setting preferred.
