Jobing Description

Overall Purpose: This is a client facing, revenue generating Consultant with intermediate consulting experience. The primary purpose is to build and maintain strong client relationships in order to strategically align technology and service in support of client business goals, objectives and software or website releases, to ensure that the company is delivering true business value to its clients, and to effectively preserve and increase/improve the revenue stream.
 
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for consistently servicing multiple, medium client contracts simultaneously, or a large, complex contract. Define, manage, and meet client expectations. May renegotiate project terms to ensure project success. Define content, organization, and flow of project deliverables or proposals with limited supervision. Develops and delivers client-facing presentations with limited supervision. May lead complex client renewals and cross sell with limited supervision. Responsible for sustained strong ongoing relationships with middle management and senior management both during and between active engagements. Responsible for hands on work with clients on large implementations, configuring and cutting over software release, mobile applications and websites. 
 

Skills / Requirements

• Five years IT experience


• Detailed knowledge across the spectrum of Internet technologies


• Must have solid understanding of DNS / BIND


• Must have strong expertise with the HTTP protocol - HTTP1.1


• Experience with protocol analyzers such as Fiddler, Charles, Firebug, Wireshark, tcpdump


• Must have experience with Wget/Curl


• Must have solid understanding of HTML, and web application concepts and architectures


• Must have understanding of SSL and web security best practices (PCI, CISSP)


• Must have knowledge of networking concepts - internet network topologies, internet routing, BGP & TCP/IP

DESIRED:

• 7-10 years IT experience


• Bachelor's degree


• Experience with web performance measuring tools such as Keynote, Gomez, Catchpoint


• Familiarity with the Unix shell and scripting languages such as perl & python


• Experience with back-end Web Development (js,css,php,asp,jsp) and implementing YSLOW or Google Page Speed web site performance best practices


• Experience with Mobile Web Development and mobile technologies


• Experience with Web server or CMS deployments - configuring web server or CMS platforms in a Web 2.0 environment
