Jobing Description
The Account Manager will be responsible for calling on existing and prospective customers with operations in the Southern, VA area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
80%
* Performs sales activities for New and Renewal business for an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives
* Contact and visits prospective customers to determine needs
* Creates and performs sales presentations to match company's products/services with identified needs
* Sells products/services through face-to-face contact
* Remains knowledgeable of company's products/services to facilitate sales efforts
* Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required
* Responsible for the moderately complex and somewhat difficult to close sales
20%
* Maintains regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction
* Maintains a regular schedule of contact via phone/on-site visits
* Alerts client to new or improved products/services
* Develops relationships with clients
* Relays client feedback to sales management and product development staff
Minimum Requirements:
* B.S. Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with proven sales experience or B.S. Degree in Business, Marketing or related will be considered; MBA desirable
* 3+ years sales experience in selling software, preference for sellign enterprise wide engineering solutions
* Must have a proven track record of sales experience preferably within the engineering software industry
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships with prospective customers through the use of various prospecting techniques as well as maintaining relationships with current customers
* Large Account Management experience is a plus
* Familiarity and established relationships with accounts in the assigned territory desirable
