JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Participates in the documentation of functional requirement and system design
* Develops and unit tests components
* Develops and tests diagnostic components
* Develops in-code documentation to explain program logic
* Corrects problems found in testing or in the implementation of applications
* Participates in the development of application enhancements
* Works according to project plans
* Adheres to 3M Cogent processes and methodologies
* Performs normal administrative functions associated with a professional position
* Time reporting and project status reporting
* Performs other duties as may be assigned by management

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

*
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university

*
5+ years software programming experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Visual Development environments such as Microsoft Visual Studio .NET using languages C#, VB, and C++
*
Web design and development using languages ASP and ASP.NET preferred

*
Database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle is preferred

*
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and/or Client/Server design/implementation a plus

*
Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

*
Perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

*
Serve as technical lead

*
Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to details

*
Work as a team member
